Lower Zambezi National Park

10 days Lake Kariba and Victoria Falls
18th September to 28th September 2008

This safari is simply ideal for the seasoned Africa traveller who is in search of something quite unique….Visiting the Lower Zambezi National Park may be relatively costly but it surely must be regarded as one of the most spectacular destinations in all of Southern Africa. One extraordinary attraction is Lake Kariba, a simply gigantic, awesome lake, filling one the Zambezi River’s deepest gorges. You’ll take part in the very best of activities and adventures that the Lake and its surrounding area have to offer. From there, we will move on to the Lower Zambezi National Park, where you’ll come across an exhilarating variety of wildlife amidst a pristine landscape studded with magnificent Natal Mahogany (Trichilia emetica) and Winter Thorn (Acacia albida) woodlands, further decorated with abundant Ilala Palm trees (Hyphaene petersiana). The icing on the cake is a visit to Victoria Falls, (Mosi-oa-Tunya: the smoke that thunders) one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. It’ll be a fitting finale to our safari.
